Before you call
First, check here on the Acas website for advice on your issue. Then make sure you have a pen and paper ready for your call.
The helpline adviser can:
- talk through your options
- explain the benefits and risks of each option
- explain what the law is
The helpline adviser cannot:
- tell you what to do
- give legal advice
- do calculations for you, for example how much holiday pay you’ll get
